A View from the Bench with Illinois Supreme Court Justice Rochford
Justice Elizabeth M. Rochford serves on the Illinois Supreme Court, representing the Second Judicial District. She was elected to the Court in 2022 after a distinguished career on the bench and in private practice.
Prior to her service on the Supreme Court, Justice Rochford served as a judge of the Illinois Appellate Court, Second District, and also held judicial positions in the Circuit Court of Cook County. Earlier in her career, she practiced law in both private and public sectors, with experience spanning complex civil litigation and public service.
Justice Rochford is widely respected for her commitment to the rule of law, judicial integrity, and access to justice. Her breadth of experience across multiple levels of the judiciary provides a unique and insightful perspective on the evolving legal landscape in Illinois.
